The CTW batch scale is used to measure quantities of bulk goods with Siemens Siwarex WP231
This allows material flows to be balanced and evaluated from an economic point of view in the production process. This is especially interesting for return material that can be utilized in the production process as a valuable regrind or recycled material.

Material-specific design
The design of CTW is optimized for regrind of various quality. The material discharge is generously dimensioned so that even rough or bridge-building material can be reliably removed. The scale also features adaptive filling. This function ensures that material is weighed reliably even when the bulk density change.
CTW - PLC & HMI
Simatic S7-1200 & Siwarex WP231
The scale control is based on the S7-1200 and designed to work as an autarkic unit. In a system environment, the control can be integrated as a subordinate PLC that communicates via Profinet.
The following functions can be emphasized:
- Touch panel for operation, set-up, configuration, and calibration with plausibility test
- Adaptive filling for optimal utilization of the fill volume despite changing bulk density
- Throughput recording and display in a trend diagram to allow diagnosis of the material flow
