Blending on a sheet extrusion line
Features
Sheet extrusion line are typically equipped with a gear pump between extruder and die. Therefor they don't need gravimetric control.
If blending is necessary to feed material directly into the extruder then gravimetric blending units are the best option to insure the right ratio of input of the minor components as:
- Foaming agent
- Flame protection
- Stabilisers etc.
The dosing and blending unit on free fall with level control in front of the extruder is the best option for the minor components.

Features
At many production line less space is available to build up a blending unit with many components
An individual design taking the number of components and their size in relation to throughput into account is a better option than to waste space with standard components.
