GCB for a main and two side feeders
Features
Direct continuous blenders with main component and side feeders as shown are standard in many extrusion processes.
The free-flowing main component is comparable to a single weigh hopper. In this way the supply of material to the extruder is provided. The main components delivers all material needed by the extruder, which is not delivered by the side components yet.
Generally the main components has a ratio of more than 50% on total quantity.
The central adapter piece is available to take main component with 4, 6 or 8 side components.
Side component with recyclate
Features
The design of the central adapter piece depends both on the inlet geometry of the extruder and the operating range of the different materials.
The dimensions have to be designed to the material ratio ranges, friction coefficients and bulk densities to avoid suppression and bridge building.
If possible recyclate is processed in the middle of the flow. This means by the main component.
